Tehilah moved to Canada from Nigeria at 16 with an early love for fashion and the arts. She taught herself design, sharpened her creative instincts, and launched ÖFUURË at 19 with $500 and no formal fashion training, all while completing a full-time degree at Ryerson University. Fuelled by a deep belief that women everywhere deserved bold, elevated clothing that was internationally accessible, she built the brand between classes, late nights, and an unshakeable conviction that this was going to work.

That conviction came from her mother, Esther Omonigho Abakasanga, who along with her dad taught her that it was ok to follow her dreams and be bold. More than a guiding force, she was the heartbeat of ÖFUURË. Just two days before Tehilah's university graduation, she lost her. There were many moments when walking away felt easier than going on. But she turned that grief into fuel, and later launched the Omonigho collection as a tribute to her mother, honouring and embodying her joyous spirit. The woman ÖFUURË designs for today, confident, bold, unapologetic, is the woman Esther raised her daughter to be.

What started as a one-woman operation has grown into a global brand, entirely self-funded, shipping to women in over 100 countries. Nearly half of our customers come back. Not because of a name on a label, but because of how the clothes made them feel on the days that counted.

A decade in, we're building for the next ten. New categories, new cities, a growing team, and the same conviction we started with: that every woman who wears ÖFUURË should feel like exactly what she is.
